The Signature Sound
The Toronto Festival Singers provide a cushion of beautiful harmonies for our prayers, with Cantor Simon Spiro leading and Aliza Spiro offering explanations throughout the service.
Kids in the Main Service
Kids join in singing on the Bimah, march in the Torah Parade, and are invited up close to hear the shofar. The Song Shul Sticker Station is open for the duration of the service.

The Song Shul’s High Holy Day Family Service is back and better than ever!
Short, sweet & interactive Led by Abby & Zach Finkelstein · with Ori Dagan
This year our Family Services will be led by Abby and Zach Finkelstein, joined by musical guest Ori Dagan. On Rosh Hashana, sing the songs, learn the prayers, act out the Torah tales, hear the shofar, enjoy a Rosh Hashana sweet, and have fun. On Yom Kippur, sing the prayers together, learn the Torah stories, and discover what this special day is all about, followed by snacks and Yom Kippur activities for the kids.
Introducing the Finkelsteins
Abby Finkelstein is a graduate of Tanenbaum CHAT and has held many Jewish leadership roles. She is heavily involved in the Diller Teen Fellows program, having served as a Fellow, a Junior Counsellor, and most recently Student Alumni Intern, a position she will still hold this coming year. Entering her third year at TMU where she studies Fashion with a concentration in Fashion Communications, Abby has been on the executive board of Hillel as Director of Campus Clubs Relations, and on the executive board of her Jewish sorority, Zeta Beta Omega. She is great with kids, having worked as an au pair in Italy, and many summers at Camp Arrowhead where she most recently served as the Head of Land Activities.
Zach Finkelstein is a recent graduate of Tanenbaum CHAT where he served as Madrich — student leader for Shabbatonim and other Jewish activities. This coming year, he will be living in Bat Yam, Israel, for the reverse ShinShin program, volunteering in Israeli schools, teaching English and working within the community. Following his gap year, Zach plans to attend Toronto Metropolitan University for their sports media program. Zach loves working with youth and children and has just completed a summer working on the sail staff at Camp Arrowhead.

What if I’m not a member?
Anyone is welcome to purchase individual tickets for specific services. Note: if, after experiencing our renowned service, you decide that you would like to join The Song Shul, the cost of your ticket(s) will be applied to membership within 30 days of the High Holy Days.
Can I get individual tickets?
Yes — individual tickets are $180 per service. Get tickets here.
So how do I register?
Easy! First, make sure you’re a member in good standing for the new year 5787 (2026–2027). Click here to join as a new member, or click here to renew your membership (and welcome back!). Registration links will be sent to you directly.
What about the machzor?
If you have your own prayer book, please bring it. We will also have copies of the Silverman machzor available at each service for 1-day use. There is no chance that what you touch will have been used by someone else the previous day.
I’m attending with kids.
Coming with your kids? We have babysitting for tots, children’s programs for the children, and inspiration for all! Children are invited to march in the Torah Parade and up close to hear the shofar. The Song Shul Sticker Station is open for the duration of the service. Join our Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur Family Service, led by Abby & Zach Finkelstein with Ori Dagan.
